In a season of “firsts,” Minotaur Media, LLC has once again reached uncharted territory, extending its reach into Arizona for the first time after the Arizona Gila Monsters of the American Basketball Association (ABA) hired Minotaur for season-long graphics in the 2026-27 season.
Based in Phoenix, the Gila Monsters will compete in the ABA West Region Division A Alpha Conference along with fellow Minotaur Media client, the Las Vegas Royals, and seven other teams from Arizona and Nevada.
The team is owned by Arizona Gila Monsters Sports Foundation, a 501(c)(6) organization.
“The Gila Monsters have one of the coolest names and logos in the entire league,” said Eric Ivie, owner of Minotaur Media, emphasizing that neither the Gila Monsters’ logo or their website is his work. “Creating graphics for them is going to be so much fun with such a unique name and identity. It’s an honor to be a part of their season.”
The Gila Monsters’ regular season will likely begin in mid-October and culminate in early March. The ABA Playoffs begin immediately after the conclusion of the regular season, culminating in the ABA Championship Weekend in mid-April of 2027 in Las Vegas.
And speaking of Las Vegas, what happens when the Royals and Gila Monsters play against each other this season?
“I just hope both teams have fun,” said Ivie with a laugh.
