Congratulations to the Austin Bats on their American Basketball Association (ABA) 2025-26 Championship! What an outstanding weekend for the Bats, as they eliminated the #1 and #2 ranked teams in the ABA — both of which were previously unbeaten!
In their semifinal game against the #1 team in the league, the Bats came back from double-digit deficits TWICE to win the game. It was one of the most exciting games we’ve ever called!
In the title game, the Bats had to come back from a double-digit deficit against the #2 team in the league and secured the championship very late in the fourth quarter.
Congratulations to Ms. Leticia Castillo, Coach Rommel Corro, Coach Ryan Williams, and all of the Austin Bats’ staff, players, dancers, and fans! This is a well-deserved and hard-earned championship!
