The Hawthorne Hurricane of the American Basketball Association (ABA) have announced their 2026-27 schedule and information about tryouts for their 2026-27 team.

Located just outside of Gainesville, Florida, the Hurricane will compete in the ABA South Region White Division in their inaugural season.

Tryouts

Tryouts will be held June 19 from 1-4 p.m. at Hawthorne Recreation Park and on June 20 from 1-4 p.m. at Hawthorne High School — both in Hawthorne, Florida.

Schedule

The Hurricane open their inaugural season on Oct. 17 with a home game against the Clay County Storms, followed by home games on Oct. 24 against the North Florida Raiders and on Oct. 31 against the Polk County Royals.

Their opponents are all from the ABA South Region except for a cross-country trip over Valentine’s Day weekend to Nevada to face the Las Vegas Royals and the Henderson Gamblers from the ABA West Region.

The Las Vegas Royals are clients of Minotaur Media, LLC, as are the Hawthorne Hurricane.
