The field is set, and the American Basketball Association (ABA) 2025-26 Championship Weekend is going to be incredible. Let’s take a look at what you need to know to witness and enjoy this amazing championship event.

What

The ABA is comprised of somewhere in the neighborhood of 175-200 teams, depending on when you count, and it’s divided into four regions: East, Central, South, and West.

Each team plays around 16-20 games during the regular season.

After the 2025-26 regular season, 71 teams qualified for the ABA playoffs. Through the month of March, these 71 teams fought it out in a single-elimination tournament until only four (4) teams remain: the champions of each ABA region.

Who

One of the teams competing in the ABA Championship Weekend is the Buffalo Extreme out of West Seneca, New York. They are the ABA East Region Champions. They finished the regular season with a 19-0 record, ranked #2 in the ABA’s final Power Rankings. The Extreme added 4 more wins in the playoffs to make their overall record 23-0.

Representing the ABA Central Region as its Champions are the Nashville Aces out of Nashville, Tennessee. They finished the regular season with a 19-0 record and ranked #3 in the ABA’s final Power Rankings. The Aces racked up 4 more wins in the playoffs, and their overall record is 23-0.

The Austin Bats out of Austin, Texas are the ABA South Region Champions. They piled up an 18-1 record in the regular season and were ranked #5 in the ABA’s final Power Rankings. Add 4 playoffs wins, and their overall record is 22-1.

And finally, the Silicon Valley Panthers out of Palo Alto, California are the ABA West Region Champions and two-time ABA Championship Finalists. The Panthers went 20-0 in the regular season, good for the #1 ranking in the ABA’s final Power Rankings. Three playoffs wins later, their overall record is 23-0.

Combined, these four teams competing in the ABA Championship Weekend have an overall record of 91-1. They were all #1-seeds in their respective regions, and they represent the #1, #2, #3, and #5 ranked teams in the ABA’s final Power Rankings.

Where

The ABA Championship Weekend will be held in the Paradise CDC Gymnasium & Cultural Center located at 4295 Hendrix Drive in Forest Park, Georgia. Forest Park is a suburb of Atlanta.

When

The ABA Championship Weekend takes place April 10-12, 2026.

The first semifinal is the Austin Bats vs. Silicon Valley Panthers on April 10 at 4 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. CT / 1 p.m. PT.

The second semifinal is the Buffalo Extreme vs. Nashville Aces on April 10 at about 6:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. CT or about 30 minutes after the first semifinal has concluded.

Then there’s an ABA 3-on-3 tournament and the ABA All-Star Game & Skills Challenge on April 11. The tournament starts at 10 a.m. ET and the All-Star festivities begin at 4 p.m. ET.

The 2025-26 ABA Championship Game is on April 12 at 2 p.m. ET.
